Our barred plymouth rock are ready to get to partying in there new forest run.
Barred Rock
Attractive black and white chicken that appears to have stripes. Originating in Massachusetts, the Barred Rock is a sweet, friendly highly productive egg layer that will produce around 300 eggs per year. This breed is a dual purpose breed, raised for both eggs and meat.Calm and friendly nature, this hardy bird will adapt to most any situation. Cold hardy and ideal for raising in areas that have harsh winter weather. Our flock is from right here in the Pacific Northwest and we use organic local feed. We keep our birds separated so we have lots of baby chicks up and coming! We love this breed and have found them to be strong, resilient, and calm. They are not flighty and jumpy like our leghorns tend to be. The forest is a perfect place for these guys to hang out and breed or the back yard or the pasture. Five stars to the Barred Rock.
