A flavorful cross. This unique variety combines the Asian Nijisseiki pear with the European Red Bartlett pear. The result is a beautiful fruit that can be eaten at different stages of ripeness that reflect the best traits of both parents. Resistant to leaf and fruit pear scab. Heat-tolerant. Introduced circa 2004. Ripens in late August or early September. Best pollinators: Starking® Hardy Giant™ or Hosui.
