Kikusui Oriental Pear Tree

The Kikusui Asian pear tree is a great pear to grow at home, because these delicious pears are not often found in stores. This fruit has a cult-like following and it’s easy to see why! This bumpy skinned green-to-yellow fruit looks like an apple but explodes in your mouth like the crispest, juiciest Asian pear ever. Heavy producing and maturing in early August, it is a home orchard prize! Needs another Asian pear variety nearby for best pollination and fruit set.  The Kikusui Pear is a deciduous fruit tree that blooms white flowers in late spring that is easy to grow. The average size of this plant is 12-15 feet high with a 10-12 foot spread. The Kikusui requires full sun and occasional watering once established.
